Introduction

I've been toying with the idea of doing a hunting blog for a while, and after cruising the forums on bowhunting.com, I decided to just do it. So, here's my first blog.

My name is Tim and I'm getting ready to head into my second season of bowhunting. But, first I'll give you guys a little introduction. I'm 25 years old, father of four boys (Isaac -  5, Lucas - 4, Cameron - 2, and Ethan - 1) and have been married to Sarah for 6 years (it will be 7 in October). I'm a maintenance planner at one of the local gold mines in our Autoclave processing plant. I've been a planner for about six weeks, but have been in the planning department for the last year. I have also served in the Nevada Army National Guard for seven years, including one deployment to Afghanistan.

Now that I've gotten the intro out of the way, let me break down what I'm shooting. I picked up my 2013 Bear Encounter online from Bass Pro Shops last July. I've got a Trophy Ridge Punisher 5-pin sight, Whisker Bisquit Kill Shot rest, an Alpine Bear Claw 5-arrow quiver, an 8" stabilizer, a wrist sling and a kisser button. My release is just a cheap-o from Wal-Mart, but it works, so I'm not in a rush to replace it. My arrows are the Cabela's Carbon Hunters cut to 28", fletched with NAP QuickFletch twisters, and Lumenocks for nocks. I'm currently running the Cabela's Laser Supreme, 125 grain broadheads. I have a block target that I shoot out at my house. I have a flat range that can go out to 90 yards, but the farthest I've shot is 60 yards.

That's all that I've really got for now. I'm sure that I'll think of some others later.
